About Elizabeth Alexander
Beth Alexander was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In her life, she has been the guardian of an astonishing variety of animals, all manner of mammals, birds, reptiles, and rodents, who continue to be her muses.
Her father, both a coach and an art teacher, gave her access to plenty of art supplies at a very early age. Beth studied Art at the University of North Texas, Denton and has lived in locales as varied as Austin, Texas to Egypt. While living in Cairo, she was deeply inspired by the patterns and color palettes of the Mid East.
Discovering she had become sensitive to many of the traditional artist mediums with which she had worked, she began painting digitally with a wacom tablet and stylus. Her favorite program is Painter by Corel which most accurately imitates traditional art media. Her most recent works explore the colors, patterns and deeper spiritual meanings of mandala art. She also loves combining her passion for photography and her love of drawing and painting in her new digital works.
Beth has been crafting jewelry for more than 20 years. Still excited by the process, she has an almost insatiable appetite for learning new techniques of the craft and experimenting with new materials. She uses both traditional metalworking and contemporary skills in her limited edition and one-of-a-kind art jewelry pieces.
